ABOUT ME

I am an award-winning, experienced Video Editor & Filmmaker. I have a BA and MA in Film & Television from The University of East Anglia. I am passionate, creative and skilled in narrative storytelling, pre-production, filming and editing. I have worked on various commercial projects for clients. I also make my own narrative films, from vivid lockdown daydreams to satirical stop-motion parodies.

Commercial Projects I have edited include:

  •  I was an Assistant Editor at Tiny Films in London, responsible for digitising, logging and organising 150+ hours of footage in preparation for feature-length documentary BBC Storyville, about a punk rock band.

  • I multi-cam edited an 8-part Futurelearn Screenwriting course, viewed by an audience of 30K+ from over 160 countries.

  • I loved directing and editing a BBC Voices historical documentary entitled George Skipper - A Fine Architect (2016), for their 'Norfolk on Film' website. I was interviewed on BBC Radio Norfolk about the experience of making the film.

  • I had a lead role in Make@uea, the commercial arm of the UEA Film and TeIevision Department. I trained new members, collaborated in different teams and took on a managerial role with clients.

  • I filmed, edited & delivered videos for clients on dozens of paid projects, including The Forum Norwich, Futurelearn and The University of East Anglia Marketing Team.

Technical Skills

I am confident in all aspects of media production, from brainstorming, scriptwriting, filming and editing. I edit mainly in Da Vinci Resolve and Sony Vegas Pro but I have plenty of experience in Avid & Premiere Pro. Proficient in camera setup, studio, green screen & lighting.

TESTIMONIALS

“As the originator of the Music Mirrors concept I was delighted with Jade's work on the film. The resulting short film has been unanimously praised for its clarity, pacing and effectiveness. I cannot imagine a better outcome and would not hesitate to recommend Jade's work to others, particularly organisations working with vulnerable people.”

Heather Edwards, Founder of Music Mirrors

“Jade is such a joy to work with. So creative, so naturally gifted in video editing and narrative storytelling, and so personable, efficient and friendly.”
